BIS Date

Privacy

Last updated 18 October 2026

BIS Date collects nothing about you. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Here is everything the game does keep, and where it goes.

On your iPhone

Your heroes, their bags and gold, your catches and your settings are saved in the game's own storage on your iPhone. They go wherever your iPhone's backups go, and to your own iCloud Drive (below).

iCloud

If you use iCloud Drive, the game keeps a copy of those saves in its own folder there, so your other iPhones can pick up where you left off and a new install can bring your heroes back. A hero you delete leaves its last save in that folder, so another of your devices can still keep it. The copy is in your own iCloud account, which Apple looks after under its own privacy policy; the developer can't see it. You can remove it, deleted heroes included, from your iCloud storage in your iPhone's Settings.

Your own portrait art

If you give a hero a picture of your own, the game keeps a square copy of just the part you framed, in its own storage on your iPhone. It is never uploaded; it goes only where your iPhone's backups go. Apple's photo picker hands the game only the picture you choose, so the game can't see the rest of your library.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, the game sends your achievements and leaderboard scores to Apple under your Game Center profile, and other players can see your nickname and scores on the leaderboards. Apple looks after that data under its own privacy policy. You can sign out of Game Center in your iPhone's Settings.

Purchases

Bag tokens are bought through the App Store. Apple takes the payment; the game only learns what was bought, never your name or your card.

Apple Watch

With the watch app, your iPhone sends your angler's rod, bait and gold to your paired Apple Watch, and fish caught on the wrist come back to the phone. It travels only between your own two devices.

Messages stickers

So that BIS Date's stickers in Messages can show the costumes you've unlocked, the game keeps that list where its Messages stickers can read it, on your iPhone. A sticker goes only to the people you send it to, through Apple's Messages.

Testing the beta

If you test BIS Date through TestFlight, Apple shares some details with the developer: your name and email if you were invited by email, when you installed and opened the beta, crash reports, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send. Apple's TestFlight terms cover this.
